1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern access to and use of PrismaBot, a hosted Twitch and Discord bot and community-operations service owned and operated by Christopher Schmidt. By accessing the dashboard, joining a test, connecting a workspace or provider account, or using a PrismaBot feature, you agree to these Terms.
If you use PrismaBot for an organization or community, “you” includes that organization or community, and you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. These Terms do not replace the terms of Discord, Twitch, YouTube, or another connected provider.
2. Hosted service model
PrismaBot is provided as a managed online service. PrismaBot operates the application runtime, databases, storage, service endpoints, updates, monitoring, and backups on infrastructure it controls. Customers configure authorized workspaces and use the service through its interfaces.
PrismaBot does not offer a customer-operated, on-premises, offline, or standalone edition. Access to the service does not include delivery of source code, container images, server packages, or a right to copy or operate the underlying runtime.
Separate customer and community data is organized into isolated tenants and workspaces. Service access and feature limits may depend on the applicable plan, entitlements, provider permissions, and technical capacity.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must meet the minimum-age and legal-capacity requirements of every connected platform. If applicable law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use PrismaBot only after that consent has been obtained.
You may connect PrismaBot only to servers, channels, accounts, applications, and content that you own or are authorized to administer. You must not claim or retain access based on a role or permission you no longer hold.
4. Accounts, access, and provider connections
You are responsible for protecting your sign-in methods, authorized browser sessions, recovery routes, and devices. You must keep workspace memberships current and promptly remove people who no longer require access.
PrismaBot may use its own registered provider applications together with OAuth grants or other authorization that you approve. Optional integrations may require credentials or API keys supplied by you. You must not provide credentials you are not authorized to use, publish service access keys, or circumvent account and workspace controls.
You must comply with applicable platform rules, including the Discord Terms of Service, Discord Developer Terms, Twitch Terms of Service, Twitch Developer Services Agreement, and the terms of every other enabled provider.
5. Plans, limits, and payment
Pre-release access may be free, invitation-only, limited in duration, or subject to tester conditions. Any paid plan, billing period, included usage, overage rule, tax, renewal condition, and cancellation option will be shown before a purchase is completed.
PrismaBot may enforce documented workspace, storage, request, provider, or feature limits. Provider-side rate limits and restrictions continue to apply independently. No fee is owed unless a paid offer has been clearly presented and accepted.
6. Acceptable use
You may use PrismaBot for lawful community management, streaming operations, moderation, notifications, overlays, schedules, commands, and other supported features. You must not use or configure PrismaBot to:
- violate applicable law, platform rules, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or the rights of another person;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, defraud, impersonate, or unlawfully monitor people;
- send spam, deceptive messages, unauthorized advertising, or unsolicited direct messages;
- collect passwords, session tokens, financial information, health information, or other sensitive data outside an expressly supported and lawful feature;
- scrape platforms, evade safety controls, bypass rate limits, circumvent access restrictions, probe other tenants, or interfere with the service;
- distribute malware, exploit code, illegal material, or content that you are not authorized to use;
- resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, copy, extract, or attempt to obtain the private PrismaBot runtime except where mandatory law expressly permits an action that cannot be restricted;
- misrepresent PrismaBot as an official Discord, Twitch, YouTube, or other third-party product; or
- operate features without the notices, permissions, consent, or human oversight required for the selected use.
7. Customer and workspace-administrator responsibilities
Tenant owners and workspace administrators determine how their authorized parts of PrismaBot are configured. They must:
- limit workspace access and roles to authorized people and review them regularly;
- request only the provider permissions needed for enabled features;
- review commands, moderation actions, notification destinations, schedules, custom APIs, uploaded media, and automation before enabling them;
- provide community members with any privacy notice, rules, consent mechanism, or request process required by law or platform policy;
- keep supplied content, configuration, contact information, and instructions accurate and lawful;
- monitor for errors or misuse and report suspected security incidents promptly; and
- ensure imported components, feeds, media, custom code, and external integrations are trustworthy and authorized.
8. Data, content, and privacy
You retain your rights in messages, media, overlays, settings, commands, schedules, custom responses, rules, and other content you supply. You grant PrismaBot a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, transmit, transform, display, and otherwise process that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content and processing you configure. You remain responsible for customer-directed community data and instructions. PrismaBot remains responsible for operating the hosted service and handling information as described in the PrismaBot Service Privacy Notice. The public website is covered separately by the Website Privacy Notice.
PrismaBot may generate aggregate or de-identified operational statistics that no longer identify a customer, workspace, or individual. Private customer content is not used to train general-purpose machine-learning models.
9. Moderation and automated actions
PrismaBot can execute customer-configured commands and rules automatically, including role changes, content filtering, notifications, scheduled posts, giveaways, polls, reward actions, and moderation actions. You are responsible for testing those rules, reviewing their results, and choosing proportionate settings.
Do not use PrismaBot as the sole decision-maker for employment, housing, credit, insurance, legal rights, access to essential services, or other decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Communities should provide a practical way for people to report and appeal incorrect automated actions.
10. Security and service integrity
PrismaBot applies technical and organizational controls intended to protect tenant boundaries, provider credentials, stored content, and service availability. No online service is completely secure, and connected accounts can also be affected by provider incidents or customer-side compromise.
You must not test PrismaBot for vulnerabilities, run automated security scans, or attempt to access another tenant without prior written authorization. Suspected vulnerabilities or unauthorized access should be reported privately to [email protected].
11. Third-party services
PrismaBot depends on services that it does not control. Their APIs, availability, pricing, rate limits, data practices, authentication systems, or terms may change without notice and may cause a feature to stop working. PrismaBot may replace or discontinue an integration when necessary for security, compliance, compatibility, or reliable operation.
Links, names, and integrations do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or ownership by Discord, Twitch, YouTube, or another provider. Each provider remains responsible for its own service and may independently limit or revoke access.
12. Pre-release status and availability
PrismaBot is in active pre-release development and is currently planned for Q4 2027. Features, interfaces, integrations, limits, storage behavior, pricing, and release timing may change. Pre-release access may contain faults, experience interruptions, or require data and configuration migrations.
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, PrismaBot does not provide a service-level agreement, guaranteed uptime, guaranteed support response, or a guarantee that every third-party integration will remain available. Maintenance, urgent security work, provider outages, and capacity events may temporarily limit the service.
13. PrismaBot and third-party intellectual property
PrismaBot's service, source code, runtime, name, logo, website design, documentation, interfaces, and original materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to access the hosted service for its intended purpose while your access remains active.
Discord, Twitch, YouTube, and other names, marks, APIs, and content belong to their respective owners. You may not remove required notices or imply an affiliation that does not exist.
14. Warranty and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrismaBot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility, error-free operation, or preservation of data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrismaBot, its owner, and its contributors are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost data, revenue, reputation, platform access, or community access arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Suspension, termination, and ending use
You may stop using PrismaBot by removing it from connected communities, revoking provider grants, removing authorized users, and requesting workspace or account closure. During pre-release, export and deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
PrismaBot may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security risk, abuse, unlawful activity, provider requirements, unpaid accepted charges, material breach, or harm to the service or others. Where practical, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided. Urgent action may be taken without advance notice.
When access ends, the right to use the service ends. Provisions concerning content rights, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, accrued obligations, and other terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply. Data is handled under the Service Privacy Notice and any applicable written agreement.
16. Changes and general terms
These Terms may be updated as PrismaBot develops. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible, and any consent required by law will be requested before the change applies.
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. Applicable mandatory law and any controlling terms in a separate written agreement remain unaffected.
